We are delighted to offer Little Barn Owls and Atelier 21 parents the opportunity to spend a morning with Ali McClure: an internationally recognised, award-winning speaker and author, and a practising SENCo who works directly with children and parents to empower parents and carers in their family-raising journey.

Ali has spent decades supporting parents with clear, memorable strategies that families can actually use. This practical session is for all parents to learn the specific ‘parent moves’ to help your child manage anxiety, overwhelm, self-regulation difficulties or challenging behaviour at home.
At some point all children will meet situations which will mean they need to self adjust to avoid overwhelm. This half day practical session will leave you understanding how children develop neurologically, and the tips and techniques you can use to help them self regulate and remain calm and happy in the moment.
Together, we will explore how to:
- Connect more confidently with your child
- Respond when anxiety, overwhelm or self-regulation become a struggle
- Understand the reasons behind challenging behaviour
- Help your child begin to solve struggles for themselves
- Recognise when to step in, step back and step up
You will leave with Ali’s practical cheat sheet and a toolkit in your hand, shaped around what your child needs right now.
FingerTips®️ books will also be available to purchase separately on the day for £10 each. The book is optional and is not included in the £65 workshop ticket.
Please note that this is an adults-only parent workshop. Children do not attend.
